Housing should not be a barrier to leaving an unsafe situation. As a survivor, you or your family can receive immediate, short-term residential support if you are in danger from intimate partner abuse and need a safe place.
You can also receive help obtaining employment that may be insecure due to domestic violence or abuse.
Having a safe place to go is one of the biggest factors that determines whether a survivor stays with their partner or flees. If you are in immediate danger from your partner and in need of a safe place, you can receive immediate, short-term emergency housing through CORA’s Safe House Program.
