Dear CORA Family,
As predicted, the current global health crisis continues to evolve. In effort to balance the needs of our community and the safety of our staff, as of Tuesday, March 17th, CORA will be closing its business offices and moving staff to either temporary work-from-home status or shelter offices. CORA’s Emergency Shelter and core emergency services remain operative with our Crisis Line remaining our primary access point (1-800-300-1080).
While the safe houses remain operable, we are focused on serving those most in need and have decreased our capacity to allow for the recommended social distancing for participants.
In addition, CORA program staff continue to support the community by offering emergency virtual services in Mental Health, Housing, our East Palo Alto program, and or Emergency Response Program, which connects those contacting law enforcement with advocacy and safety planning.
Our Legal Services for now continue, though operating offsite and we are closely monitoring the response of the courts.
As we are actively developing new (virtual) practices and communication systems with many of our services and, therefore, we may experience delays and a few hiccups. Please bear with us. We also expect that our external health experts will continue to offer updates and our practices will continue to evolve.
Please consult this website and/or our social media for updates. We will continue to check our business line (650.652.0800) sporadically and hope to have it answered live again beginning in a few days.
Thank you for continuing to stand with CORA and the clients we serve during this unprecedented time. The CORA Family is strong and, during this difficult season, we are thankful that we can count on your support.
Please be safe and be well!
