A Statement from CORA
CORA stands in solidarity with black and brown communities and all those who grieve the murder of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and countless other black men and women who were victims of systemic and institutionalized racism. We recognize that our system is profoundly flawed, and it is beholden on all of us, but especially those of us who bear privilege, to do all we can to advance the work of racial justice.
The communities we serve exist at the intersection of racism, sexism, classism, heterosexism, and other forms of oppression. We exist there too. We recognize we have a role in addressing systemic racism and are working with our partners and community to identify concrete steps that the CORA staff and board can take in all aspects of our work. We are committed to being a catalyst for change and centering our work on the voices of those most impacted by these unjust systems.
